Goals

Without goals, we wouldn't accomplish anything. Or at least I wouldn't! :)

I have plenty of them, some related to this blog, others related to writing or my personal life. Since being held accountable is a huge help in helping force myself to do what needs to be done, I thought I would share some of my goals today.

For this blog, I want to achieve a decent following and make improvements such as a domain name and larger recipe, craft and book review sections. There are quite a few changes that I want to make in the design of it, but first I have to figure out how! Anyone know a good blogger tutorial?

For my writing, I want to expand my career so that I am doing more work for private clients as opposed to content companies. I want to write more about the things that are important to me. And I want to see my name in print.

As for my personal goals, I want to develop a more positive attitude. People see me as an upbeat person, and I am. But I am also my own worst enemy, always finding fault in my appearance, writing and everything else about myself. I also want to continue the home improvements we started several months ago, and finish our extra bedroom.

Now, you know what I hope to achieve in the future so tell me about your goals. What do you want to achieve? How to you plan to make it happen?

  1. You do sound a little too critical of yourself; at least you recognize it. Maybe repeating positive affirmations will help - I have other ideas to, so feel free to contact me if you wish! :)

  3. Right now my goals are minimal. I want to get through this semester and graduation. I am still trying to build up residual with the goal to be a part of the $1000 a month club. I want to take more time to write for myself, which includes getting my website exactly the way I want it. That is a work in progress right now. I work on my other site in my free time and when it is ready I will move everything there.

    As for Blogger, what are you wanting to do? Maybe I can help. I have been on Blogger since 2004. Let me know what you want to do, I'll try to point you in the right direction.

  4. Do you have Photoshop or another image manipulating program. I have fun with that and images for my blog. Take pictures of things when you cook/make them as you do them so eventually when you get around to post about it you have the images. I really like having pictures as you can see on my blog.

  5. @ Chrystal.... The main thing I want to accomplish first is to create more sections in the blog. I have a recipe section and a craft section, but the way it is set up is like one long blog post. It doesn't separate the individual sections at all.

    @Standard....Thanks! That's a great idea!
